The clocks had gone forward and i'd gotten up at 6am (what should
have been 5am) to watch the Australian GP, so i was feeling a little
tired but the morning looked beautiful and it seemed a shame to
waste a nice sunny day going back to bed, so off i went down the
coast to Torquay to take some photos.
First stop was at Shaldon to have a cuppa.
The lovely little town on the other side of the river mouth is
Teignmouth...
In the far distance just behind the rock point is Exmouth...
About a mile down the coast from Shaldon is a little car park
with a nice view...
Further down the coast if one looks close enough they'll pass
a little track on the left called Steep Hill, follow it down to
Maidencombe...
The Thatched Tavern...
Down to the right of here is a little car park, from the carpark
follow the footpath down to the beach...
There's the cafe - it was closed...
There's a lovely little secluded beach...
I'm thinking, "Nice place to go fishing one morning"...
Then it was off to Torquay...
Torquay beach with balloon ride...
Looking across Torbay...
Seafront...
The marina...
A splintery boardwalk. One would have thought with the money in
this town that whoever built this would have sanded the planks
properly...
A very pretty Pavilion...
Des' Res'...
Another marina...
And that was Torquay.
On the way home i stopped at Teignmouth and took some photos back
at Shaldon.
The car park to the the right of the big house is where i took
the first photo on this page of Teignmouth from...
