Feadoga Stain

Mary Bergin

This has to be the ultimate traditional Irish whistle album.

Mary has inspired so many whistle players over the years and most of that inspiration came from listening to this first album.

Truly stunning!

If you liked the first one, you'll love this too!

Music from Sliabh Luachra

Jackie Daly

Some masterful unaccompanied button accordian playing of tunes from the Sliabh Luachra area of Ireland by one the greats of Irish traditional music.

There's also 4 concertina tracks.

A must have album for anyone into Irish squeeze box music!

Are You The Concertina Player?

Kate McNamara

Another of Ireland's younger musicians.

All too often these days we get the high speed Irish Trad, but this album is different, it's much slower, more old school.
As much as like the high speed stuff it's also nice to just chill out and relax to some laid back playing occasionally and Kate does it masterfully with tasteful accompaniment provided by varying instruments throughout keeping the whole album fresh sounding all the way through.

As it's got a more laid back approach this is a far more accessable album for anyone learning to play Irish Traditional Music on the concertina
.

Well recommended!

Gavin Whelan

Gavin Whelan

One of Ireland's younger professional musicians, Gavin was 23 when he recorded this album having been playing whistle since 9.

It's 14 years not wasted. Gavin's playing is beautiful and the album is nicely mixed up with Gavin on whistle being joined by many great Irish players on various instruments throughout.

I start every coach journey i make with this album on my walkman.
